Fall Out Boy ready for new album
Fall Out Boy guitarist Patrick Stump has said that the band is working on a new album but that a release date has not been set yet. According to Stump the band members are always writing and they have had material since their last album was released. Apparently there is “more material in the mix than ever before” but Stump could not say if that will help or hinder when the band finally enter a studio. The project will be different from the band's previous albums, which were all interconnected musically and thematically. Meanwhile, Patrick Stump has been producing for Gym Class Heroes and Tyga And The Cab.

N.E.R.D album details
N.E.R.D have announced an European release date of June 9 for their upcoming new album with the US to follow one day later. The new effort will be titled “Seeing Sounds,” which is a reference to the neurological phenomenon known as synthesia or plainly being high. The album will be followed by first single “Everyone Nose,” that already leaked to the internet.

Alice Cooper to release new album in July
Alice Cooper is releasing a new album on July 28. The album will be titled “Along Came A Spider” and tells the story of a serial killer whose name is Spider. On the album Cooper becomes the killer who is a psychopath. Th album will also feature guest appearances by Ozzy Osbourne, who plays harmonica on a track he co-wrote with Cooper, and Slash who plays guitar on the album.

New Kids On The Block return with new album in September
With their reunion tour sold-out already, the New Kids On The Block have set a September 8 release date for their new album. The group performed first single "Summertime" during a May 16 appearance on NBC's "Today" show. According to group member Jordan Knight the album and songs like "Summertime" have an '80s vibe to it.

James finish work on new album
James will release their first studio album in seven years in the US, titled “Hey Ma” in September. The new effort is due September 16 and comprises of 11 tracks. It will include bonus track “I Wanna Go Home” that was not on the European version. James have not yet announced US tour dates.

Morrissey reissues old album while finishing new one
Morrissey’s new album "Years Of Refusal" is set for a September release date in both the US and Europe. The 12-track album was produced by Jerry Finn, who also produced Morrissey's 2004 album "You Are The Quarry." Meanwhile, Morrissey's 1995 album "Southpaw Grammar" will be reissued with remastered audio, three previously unreleased tracks and new artwork.

Marc Anthony collaborating with Billy Joel and Babyface
Marc Anthony is currently recording three studio albums. These include a new tropical album, a Spanish ballad album and an English-language pop album. On the latter Anthony is collaborating with Billy Joel and Babyface. All three albums will be out simultaneously by the end of the year.

Simple Minds working on new album
The original lineup of Simple Minds will be recording next month for the first time in 27 years. Brian McGee, Derek Forbes, Mick McNeil, Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill are set to record at least two new tracks for release before the end of the year. Drummer McGee left the band in 1981, while bassist Forbes split in 1985, only to return briefly from 1997 till 1998. Keyboardist McNeil has been absent since 1989.
